Dr. Golwala joins a multidisciplinary team dedicated to providing innovative, advanced, and compassionate care to patients close to home.

Dr. Golwala is board certified in interventional cardiology, cardiovascular disease, and internal medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine. He earned his medical degree from Government Medical College in India, followed by a residency in internal medicine at University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center. He then completed a fellowship in cardiovascular medicine at the University of Louisville School of Medicine, followed by advanced fellowship training in interventional cardiology and structural and peripheral interventions at Brigham and Women's Hospital. Harvard Medical School.

Prior to joining UPMC, Dr. Golwala served on the faculty at Oregon Health & Science University, where he rose to the rank of Associate Professor and held leadership roles in structural heart disease. He joined UPMC in Central Pa. to lead and further advance the structural heart program.

Dr. Golwala specializes in structural heart disease and interventional cardiology, with expertise in advanced, minimally invasive treatments for complex cardiovascular conditions. He is committed to providing compassionate, patient-centered, and high-quality cardiovascular care while expanding access to innovative therapies throughout the region. He is available to see patients at the UPMC Heart and Vascular Institute in Harrisburg, Chambersburg, Lancaster, Hanover, and York.
