Dr. Elena Morariu gives a presentation on the management of thyroid nodules. Most thyroid nodules are low risk, and many thyroid cancers pose minimal risk to health and can be effectively treated.

Educational objectives

Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to: 

  • Analyze current recommendations for laboratory and imaging evaluation of thyroid nodules
  • Analyze the role of FNA, cytology interpretation, and molecular testing in the management of thyroid nodules
  • Analyze the recommended approach for long-term follow up of patients with thyroid nodules
