Educational Objectives:
Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:
- Work collaboratively with colleagues in other specialties to determine when first rib resection is indicated for relief of thoracic outlet syndrome (TOS).
- Explain the potential benefits of robot-assisted first rib resection for the treatment of thoracic outlet syndrome.
- Implement their care of patients with primary cardiac malignancy by increasing their knowledge of treatments that improve long-term survival.
- Recognize precautions taken to allow lung transplant to be performed safely during the COVID-19 pandemic.
- Recognize anatomic factors that impact the ability to perform a successful endovascular repair in the ascending aorta.
