Educational Resources for Referring Physicians

At the UPMC Liver Transplant Program, we can provide online and in-person education or one-on-one consultations to address these common questions:

  • When is the right time to refer my patient for a liver transplant?
  • Is my patient a candidate for a living donor transplant?
  • How can my patient find a suitable living donor?

We welcome the opportunity to partner with you to raise awareness and educate your team about living-donor liver transplant for patients with liver cancer or complex conditions. Additionally, we can schedule a visit to your campus to host an educational Grand Rounds about living-donor liver transplant.
